The cryptocurrency industry has experienced rapid changes over time; it has gone from being only accessible to tech-savvy cyberpunks to becoming a global phenomenon that has entered into mainstream conversations. Blockchain is no longer raising eyebrows like it used to and Web3 now enjoys mainstream status within discussions surrounding digital assets.
China 2.0 Wave & Ripple vs SEC
Siu believes that Asian countries have seen an opportunity to break away from US influence which is why they are embracing cryptocurrencies more than ever before (the China 2 .0 wave). Also according to him, Ripple’s victory against the SEC was extremely important for giving hope to other companies operating within this space that they too can prevail if faced with similar legal challenges down the line.
Where Will Crypto Go Next?
When asked about where he thinks we’ll see crypto go next, Siu said that while NFTs have already become quite popular lately (and could possibly experience another surge soon) there are other trends emerging currently that may end up being even bigger than NFTs in terms of mass adoption levels achieved by crypto assets/projects in general – although at this point he didn’t specify which ones those might be exactly
